(:>) I made sure I was up to date on my Firefox 37.0.2 and I STILL get the message. Oh yeah, now I can't even view anyone elses photos, that damm "Grass could be greener on this side" page is all that comes up, I'm ostensibly BLOCKED from using Flicker for it's intended purpose, sharing photos with others. I am on the updated firefox, version 37.0.2.ĭitto, I also am getting the grass is greener message, but I already have the most current iteration of Firefox. Just started getting The grass is greener message too. Has anyone explained why its necessary to upgrade? I've read vague comments about needing to move ahead with the latest technology, but what exactly is it, on this site, that won't work with slightly outdated browsers? Same here, getting it on my firefox tonight. Same here, up to date Firefox, newish computer, and I get the "grass is greener" message.īunchadogs & susan How does one contact Flickr themselves and not just a forum like this for people to voice their disatisfaction? I administer a group which needs my daily input and I have no idea what is happening to it or whether other members are having the same problem. It is not a matter of choosing not to use Flickr - at the moment I simply can't get into it. Next time I logged in I have the same message. I have downloaded the latest version exactly as they suggested and following their link and for a couple of hours it was ok. are these people smoking CRACK, you have to wonder. found the same thing when I logged on tonight. Pro users, I'm being blocked from access to my photos by this BS as are many others. Seems the Crack Flickr Team is at it again, messing things up royally for we users, er, ar. Generally I prefer to keep versions that I know work. Sometimes features changed, or useful features were removed altogether. Plenty of times over the years, I have "upgraded" software that worked fine, only to regret the decision afterwards. Now imagine your reading glasses worked perfectly with every website in the world, including Flickr, but then somebody decided they weren't going to allow it anymore unless you got new ones. I love these glasses, and didn't want to buy new ones (holy crap they're expensive now!) But eventually my viewing experience was so diminished I had to update. The longer I keep them, the less I am able to view the things I want to. My eyes have been getting worse, so my 7 year old reading glasses are almost useless now. What is the lowest supported version of any and each of the major browsers?įor example, I had to get new reading glasses this week. I am at the highest version of Mozilla Firefox's ESR, and I'm still getting grief. c'mon, Flickr.īy the way this happened a few months ago and got fixed. I was doing just fine with the latest versions of both Firefox and Palemoon then I made the mistake of rebooting my computer moments ago to allow my Windows updates to be implemented and now, both of my browsers display only the Grass is Greener when trying to view any individual photo pages.Įagle1effi edited this topic 104 months ago.įirefox 37.0.2 on Windows 7: stopped working here. So what the hell?! I have almost 20,000 images on flickr, with a longstanding pro account, and am locked out. When I click on Firefox to upgrade, it tells me I am using the latest version. I can see my home page, see my albums, but when I click on an actual photo, the "grass is greener" page comes up. And I am still getting the "grass is greener" page when I try to open my photos. I'm using OS-X 10.10.3 and Firefox 37.0.2 - both with the most up to date patches on a new Mac Mini. Just acknowledge the issue, and roll back to an earlier version while you fix whatever needs to be fixed - and make sure you support ALL browsers. Now no more, grass is greener everywhere. Same here - windows 7 Pro - all up to date, happens with Chrome, Opera and Firefox (all up to date).
